Saturn in Aries, Queer Rock Climbers, & Why There’s Lowkey No Such Thing As A Setback

A Detour Isn’t A Setback

I recently went with one of my besties to a rock-climbing event at a dope gym called Long Beach Rising. If you’ve been following my journey, you know I’ve been teaching yoga and exploring pole dance for fitness lately, so this was another fun (and humbling) challenge for my mind-body connection.

As an Aries, I naturally want to get to the top — fast. But this time, I let myself explore, pause, and be messy (the chalk made sure of that). And it affirmed something that’s been resonating so much lately— sometimes, you have to go sideways to go up.

Saturn in Aries & The Dreaded Saturn Return

We’re in a potent moment astrologically — Saturn just entered Aries, which means a lot of us (especially us Gen-Z elders) are entering our Saturn return. Saturn can kind of struggle with Aries, which likes instant results more than playing the long game. It’s a time of restructuring, redirection, and reality checks.

For all of us, it’s showing up as a call to make lateral moves instead of pushing forward at all costs. To follow curiosity more than pressure. To cast a wider net and let the blessings land where they will. And most importantly, to be more patient with ourselves and each other!

A Supportive Queer Climbing Space

This event — a collab between Long Beach Rising x Arc’teryx x Queer Crush Climbing x Escalemos — was full of encouragement. People were cheering each other on, not just for finishing climbs, but for simply trying. It was so wholesome and heartwarming!

If you don’t have that kind of community IRL right now, just know: I’m cheering for you. And so are the other Lucky Stars in our little corner of the internet.

Let Your Life Be An Upward Spiral

It’s great to chase a big, bold goal or commit to a manifestation single-mindedly. But there’s something sacred about free-falling, pivoting, getting back up, and discovering strength in unexpected places.

Your path isn’t linear — it’s a spiral. And the “top” is not the only view worth having! Don’t be afraid to go sideways.

Something A Lil Different

Speaking of lateral moves, I recently dove into a new Pick-a-Card Tarot Reading that explores what your style says about you.

Stay Lucky,
